The Gender Climate Awards is the second installment of the awarding scheme by CAREC in gender, formerly the CAREC Award for Advancing Gender Equality. The Awards aim to recognize individuals and organizations making significant contributions to gender equality in the context of climate change resilience, adaptation and mitigation within the CAREC region. It also aims to give visibility to those who have achieved professional success or have taken practical steps for climate action in local communities or in national and regional settings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Award Ceremony will recognize winners from each CAREC member country, who were carefully selected by a distinguished panel of jury. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event will also feature the Lightning Talks Sessions, where the awardees will showcase their best practices and innovative contributions towards advancing gender equality and climate resilience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
